Happy Birthday, James!

My little baby boy is 1 today! I can hardly believe that it has been a year since his birth. Jim is flying late tonight, so he stayed at home a little longer than normal this morning. We opened the learning mower from GrandMary and James had such fun playing with it!

James is sucking his thumb... a clear indicator that he is ready for a nap.

Then, Jim put together the Little People airport from us. I know that my kids have tons of toys, but I couldn't resist this one. Meredith gave them the Little People train set and they love playing with it. In fact, so do all the other kids who come over!

I'm guilty. For Jemma, I had her first birthday party planned months in advance. I picked out the perfect butterfly invitations and made sure that family and friends would be here to celebrate. We had pizza and cake and ice cream... it was a hectic, but very fun day. For James, I have planned nothing. We are just going to spend time with Daddy. I plan to make cupcakes and we'll put a candle on it and sing. I think James will not mind! We are going to get him a Kettrike this weekend... one of the tricycles with a parent pushbar that should last for years.

Here is my little climbing man last night. He is standing on the box from GrandMary that has his birthday present inside. I think he really wanted to go outside, even though it was dark. And not only did he climb on top of the box, but he was bouncing on top of the box!
