Today was Military Appreciation Day at the zoo. I planned to have the kids ready and be there by 10... however, I was moving slowly. In fact, Jemma wanted it to be pajama day, so getting her motivated was exceptionally hard. So, at 11:15 as I'm getting ready to get onto the interstate, a super-sweet spouse called to warn me that parking at the zoo was completely full. I had no desire to do a shuttle run with two kids and a stroller. So, we turned around and headed home. I made a Wendy's stop on the way as a treat since we were not going to the zoo.
It was a BEAUTIFUL, perfect weather day. We went to the park for over an hour. Mya was already there, so the girls played and played. James tried to keep up and did very well!

When it was time for James' nap, the girls continued to play at our house. They dressed up in several different outfits and just had fun. Here they are dancing to the Skeleton and Monster music...

I'm kind of glad that we didn't make it to the zoo. It was a great day at home!
