Happy Birthdy to Me!

Today is my birthday. It was a good, relaxing day. We needed a restful day after our little adventure! It rained most of today, so we stayed inside and just watched TV and played. Jemma remembered that today was my birthday. She said, "Mommy, I want to sing to you, but we don't have a cake." I laughed and told her that she could sing without cake but she refused.

Trina and Derek joined us for lunch (I had one of her bags still from our trip so I invited them to stay for lunch when they came to pick it up.), so Jemma and Trina sang to me over baked ziti! Trina said that she had planned to get a cake later in the day, but I declined because Suzanne and Andy sent me home with brownies! Yes, we celebrated my birthday in PA Tuesday night after the kids were in bed. I got a cute PJ set as a birthday gift... Suzanne knows that I would never spend the money on PJs for myself, so it was a great gift! Trina gave me a Pampered Chef Ultimate Mandoline... I love Pampered Chef stuff and I can't wait to use it! Today I got lots of cards and phone calls and emails and my mother-in-law sent a beautiful bracelet. Jemma wanted to keep the bracelet, but I refused... she has her own bracelets and this one is mine! I feel very loved! :)

My favorite birthday gift... a phone call from my husband! I was so happy to hear his voice. And he said that they may get to come home a day early... I hope, I hope, I hope that they get to come home a day early. I miss my husband! I'm off to dreamland...
