I kept Jemma home from school today. I could have sent her, but decided a restful day with Mommy was a good thing. Right now, she is watching Barney and marching around the living room while shaking a tamborine. She is fine... just fine... has a runny nose and little cough and tiny appetite, but she is fine.
A story from when I kept her home on Tuesday: James was napping and I needed a shower, so I turned on Sesame Street. Upon getting out of the shower, I hear shouts of "Mommy... Mommy, I need you!" I wrapped a towel around my dripping wet self with images of blood or sickness flooding through my head and went racing down the stairs... I discovered Jemma was upset and crying because the PBS station was holding a fundraiser, which had interrupted Elmo's World and Jemma wanted me to get it back on. She was sobbing, "This isn't Jemma TV." I almost injured myself because a TV program... ahhh!!!
