Sick day

Jemma and James are both sick today. James little nose is running like a faucet and every time I put him down, he just looks up at me with sad, droopy eyes and starts to cry. I finally put him in his crib to nap... poor little guy just needs to feel better.

Jemma greeted me with "Mommy, I'm not feeling too good today." She says her ear (just the right one, not the left one), neck and tummy hurt. She has just been laying on the sofa and watching TV most of the day. I know you aren't supposed to let them watch that much TV, but she doesn't feel like playing or going outside, so I guess one day full of cartoons while sick is ok. She is usually so full of energy and so talkative that I know she doesn't feel well. She hasn't even sang one song today... I'm usually serenaded with tons of little songs and questions... I hate colds!

A cute story that I forgot to post from Friday:
I was getting Jemma ready for school and doing my usual, "Mommy will pick you up with James and then we'll come home after you've had a great day at school..." Well, Jemma says, "My daddy is picking me up today." She was so sure of this, so I didn't argue. (He had put her to bed the night before and they had read books and talked, so I thought maybe they had decided somthing and forgot to tell me.) I called Jim at work to see if they had talked of him picking her up from school. They had not, but he decided to make Jemma very happy and leave work to pick her up from school. Jemma was one very, very happy little girl.
