Cassandra
Cassandra Lee Bates has arrived! Suzanne and Andy are the proud parents of a healthy 22 inch, 9 lb 15 oz baby girl! :) Suzanne went into the hospital last night to begin the induction. Mary called me about Noon to say that Suzanne was at 2 cm with contractions every 3 minutes. She called again at 6:21 to say that Suzanne was 100% effaced, 10 cm and preparing to push. Andy called this evening and said that Cassandra was born at 6:55. Andy said that she has already latched on twice, so I sincerely hope that breastfeeding is an easy and wonderful experience for them. I'm so, so happy for them. And I swear you can see Andy's new Daddy smile through the phone!! Suzanne was resting, so I haven't talked with her yet... I can hardly wait to make a trip and meet my newest niece.

Congratulations on the new addition to the Bates clan! I am so familiar with that size baby, too! Brings back memories of 6 years ago when Hunter was born. Send Suzanne my congratulations!
