Scout was up to 8 lb 8 oz on Friday. Merin called on Sat. morning because Scout was having seizures and needed to take her to the doctor. They increased her medications and sent her home. We had dinner with Merin tonight and she said Scout still seemed to be having the seizures, so she will talk with the dr again tomorrow...
She is scheduled for surgery to have a feeding tube inserted in via her abdomen in two weeks. They are planning to remove/repair/correct the hernia during the same surgery.
Merin is working on getting a consult with a specialist at Children's in Washington and a hospital in Philadelphia. The only diagnosis so far is "Failure to Thrive" but they suspect metabolic/mitochondria/neurological issues... she needs your prayers and positive thoughts!!
