Jim helped get Jemma ready for school. Then, James and Daddy said goodbye in the morning.
James had his 18 month check up at 11:15 and we were very lucky that Jim was able to come. James has grown 2 inches in the past two months (35 3/4 inches tall) and gained one pound, to put him at 27 pounds!
Then, we all went to get Jemma from school. We stopped by home for Jim to get the rest of his things. Then, we took Jim to the squadron. James fell asleep in the car, so I was glad he got some quality time in the morning. Jemma was so sweet... she loves her Daddy!
We spent time playing outside this afternoon. Merin, Mya and Scout came over for dinner. Then, Mya stayed to play with Jemma. They played upstairs while I cleaned dinner dishes. Then we all went outside. It was a very nice evening to be outside! Even the two girls from across the street were outside, so they all had fun! Jemma and Mya continued to play downstairs while James took a bath. As soon as he was done, both Jemma and Mya got in the tub. They played while I put James to bed. Then, they wanted to do a sleepover. I had to say no because tomorrow is a school day. It was wonderful to have Mya play with Jemma and keep her mind off of her Daddy leaving. And I was definitely busy! I am so lucky, too... I had lots of people call to offer "support" and just let me know that they are thinking of us!
I just got an email from Jim. He is safely aboard the ship... let the countdown begin!!!

I am so excited to hear Jim will be home for Christmas!!! That is WONDERFUL! Jemma looks like such a big girl. Your kids are beautiful. I have been praying this week for you, for you to have an overwhelming peace until Jim comes home. How does October look for you? We would like to try to work out a trip...
