James wanted to wear his cookie monster outfit. Notice that he went for the cookies in the pantry... yes, he is a Mommy's boy!
Daddy got some good, quality time with the kids. James loves books... Jemma loves books. So, you can actually interest both of them by reading. One of James' favorite is the Elmo Look-and-Find.

He even put the kids in the stroller and took them out for a stroll in the winds of Hanna. He said that he could release the stroller and it would blow along!
We went out for dinner. I told Jim to choose wherever he wanted to go since he will be on the boat for a while, but as we were driving by Red Robin Jemma insisted that we stop there. This is one of the kids' favorite restaurants and I'm happy with it, too. Plus the kids get balloons when we leave... what a treat! We went for a walk and then put the kids in bed.

On Sunday, Jim took the kids downstairs and let me sleep in. It is heavenly to be able to sleep until 8:30! I even showered and dressed before venturing downstairs at 9:30. After lunch (I made a pork roast, mashed potatoes, asparagus and crescent rolls), Jim went into work for a little while. But not before putting the jibits into the kids' crocs!

Wendy and her two boys came to play at our house. It was so nice to chat and catch up with her. She just went back to work (teaching) after taking off for two years to be home with her kids. I miss having her home during the day to get together already! Because we chatted, I did not prepare dinner so we went out to Pungo Pizza. While we were waiting for our dinner, Jim reminded Jemma that he would be leaving the next day and would be gone for a little while. Jemma replied, "I don't want you to go, Daddy. I want you to stay here." Jim said that he would miss her but that he had to go for work. Then Jemma said, "I want Mommy to go." Jim asked who would take care of her if Daddy and Mommy were to go and she replied, "A Babysitter." I'm wondering... exactly how does her little mind work?
When we returned from dinner, Jemma and Mya rode in her car. James and Jim played with Kona and I chatted with Merin. It was a beautiful night until the pesky mosquitos started coming out. After the storm and rain they were terrible!
Jim went to Build-A-Bear before going into work Sunday afternoon. He made a bear for James (his name is Poppy) and a monkey for Jemma (his name is George). He recorded a message for each kid and gave it to them at bedtime. It was so incredibly sweet that I got all teary eyed!
