Today is our 5 year anniversary! Happy Anniversary to my wonderful husband... my friend and partner... the man that I love and adore. I can't wait to have my husband back home.

I took the kids to a birthday party at the Young Chef's Academy today. What a neat concept! The kids made their own pizza (the most fun was playing with the dough!) and decorated cupcakes. Instead of bringing a gift, they requested that everyone bring their favorite book for a book exchange. I thought that was a really neat idea! :)
My Mom (Granny) and Nicole (Auntie Nicole) went to a Paula Deen show in Norfolk and stopped by for a brief visit with us in the afternoon. I put Nicole to work helping me prepare the fruit for the chocolate fondue and Granny played with the kids. (Nicole was also a saint and finished vaccuuming for me!)
I left the kids with a babysitter and went out to dinner with eleven wives from our spouses' group. It was so yummy and relaxing! After dinner, they all came back to our house and we had champagne and chocolate fondue. (I made silky fudge sauce with pound cake, bananas, strawberries and grapes for dipping.) I loved having everyone here to chat and hang out... such a great evening. We toasted to the guys and to three of us with anniversaries this month while they are gone.
