Bribery

Never did I think I would resort to bribery... at least not over homework. Homework is difficult. Jemma does not like to sit and do any homework. So, she ends up in tears and I am frustrated and she wants her Daddy and I want her Daddy... oh, it is so not pleasant. So, I questioned a few friends and one of my Mommy-friends says that she uses bribery... fresh baked cookies, ice cream, a new toy, etc... and it works for her.

SO, today I told Jemma that she could have ice cream with sprinkles if she finished all of her homework without any tears. And she did! It was the easiest homework session. I feel a little guilty, but not enough to bribe again... however, it will have to be something besides ice cream next time... I can't have a kid with a sugar high every day!

The weather was so incredibly nice today! James and I should have made a commissary run, but it was so nice that we went to the park instead. Then, we walked around and collected pine cones... little ones, medium sized ones and big ones. It is amazing how little things like pine cones make him so very happy!
