Siblings

A quick story before I head to bed:

Jemma went to use the potty this afternoon. I was making them a snack in the kitchen. James went running happily into the bathroom after her. Jemma thought it would be funny to lock the bathroom door then shut it and come giggling into the kitchen, "I locked James in the bathroom!" Ha, ha, ha funny to her... not so funny to me...

Do you know that I can grab the little pick from the garage then rip the door knob safety cover handle off the door and pick the lock in about 10 seconds, while concocting all sorts of bad images about James in the bathroom alone...

... and I discover James standing over the toilet peeking in at Jemma's new cup for school with Jemma's poop and toilet paper. Yick, yuck, yick...

Jemma got a stern lecture about flushing the toilet, washing her hands, and NEVER locking her brother in the bathroom again!

After going to the Oreck store to buy new vaccumm bags this morning, then venturing to the Comissary, and taking Jemma to tennis lessons where I have to run all over the adjacent court to amuse/occupy James for 45 minutes, I needed the pilates class tonight! After pilates, Kara (our neighbor) stopped in childcare to see the kids. As soon as James saw her, he said, "Dave?" and shrugged his little arms. It was so cute! He loves her husband and is always asking for him. So, we went over for a brief visit when we returned home and both kids had a blast playing with their cat, Nike. However, I'm not so certain that Nike enjoyed the visit.

Thankfully, both kids were wiped out. We skipped bathtime and they were asleep by 8:15! Yippie!!
