Experiment

Jemma was so excited after school yesterday. She told me about a water pressure experiment and was very eager to demonstrate. Unfortunately, the warm wonderful weather sidetracked us upon arrival home. So, I asked her to demonstrate as soon as she was awake this morning.

After breakfast, I went to the gym to step class. The kids both had fun playing! Then, a babysitter came to play with them while I cleaned. She arrived at 10:15 and I cleaned until 1:15 when she had to leave. In fact, I made them a picnic lunch so they didn't have to come inside the whole three hours!

While James napped, I took a shower. When I got out of the shower I heard Jemma crying. I came downstairs to find her unable to get the potty seat off! I could not resist taking her picture before helping to remove it.Here is a much happier Jemma painting (notice the boots, sunglasses and swimsuit).

At 3:30 we loaded into the car, picked up Melisa and Colton and went for a surprise. I didn't tell Jemma or James that we were going to see a special Sesame Street production. You should have seen how absolutely happy both kids were to see the characters! Jemma danced and clapped and had the biggest, happiest eyes. James pointed and clapped and named them all. He was so disappointed when the show was over. I however, was teary eyed and cried through part of the show. They did part of the little skit that is on the DVD where Elmo's daddy is deployed and Elmo is sad... I lost it a little... thankfully, the kids didn't even notice because they were so focused on the show.

Afterwards, we went out to dinner. We went to the California Pizza Kitchen so Jemma could eat pizza. (Jim has pizza day on Saturday on the ship.) She had cheese pizza, which she topped with an entire box of little raisins.
It was a long day! But keeping busy seems to make the time pass quicker!! :)
